Day 5

Today we relaxed in the morning then went out shopping in the afternoon to a place called "The Village" in Rochester Hills. We came home and prepared for tea then went out to Church. It was an experience and a half. It was so different to the Church's in UK, if they had a church in England like the one I visited, I would go to church more often. Churches make a massive effort to interest and capture younger people, where as, in the UK the majority of religious people and people who regularly attend church tend to be middle aged adults.

This is the Church. When I arrived I couldn't believe that this was the church we were attending.

The entrance to the church

They had a live band on stage singing hymns. I felt like I was at a concert not at church.

I captured this person to show how very passionate the people were into the music and the words that were being said. They displayed the words on the big screen for people to sing along with, and, furthermore, the services are sometimes aired at other Kensington Community Church Campuses.

The pastor reading out a passage from the bible using his Ipad. They displayed the passage from on the big screen for people to read, they also offered bibles to people who wished to follow along in a bible.

The pastor got a panel of people to discuss the topic of the service; "parenting". They shared their options and the experiences that they have been through as well as why they have turned towards god and how they regularly practice their religion and maintain Gods influence in their households.
